norton 5/13/2010 9:03:11 PM I agree with prime roast and the bakery going in there. Prime roast has the best coffee in town. It would be a great place to meet and relax with good coffee and pastry,s.

I like Keene-But 4/9/2010 5:41:01 PM Maybe they can find something that is subsidized, that the way we are headed.
Norton 3/13/2010 2:57:08 PM I agree with Steve about having Prime Roast and Kristens bakery moving in there. Prime Roast has great coffee and great people on staff but they could use a bit more room and add a bakery like Kristens there and a you will have a real nice gathering place. The smells of great coffee and baked goods and maybe room for some good live blues and jazz what a great place for the college students and people of Keene to have.
LSD 3/9/2010 9:42:43 AM I would like to see a for-profit business that creates jobs and is unhindered by federal bureaucratic regulation or overtaxed by politicians with grandiose spending ways.
I guess that means this space will remain vacant for at least the next 8 years.
Reader 3/8/2010 5:41:55 PM How long are you going to post this DUMB topic?
Steve 3/4/2010 11:24:21 PM Two businesses that I love should move in there - Kristens Bakery & Prime Roast. Both are great businesses but feel cramped, especially during busy periods of the day. If you put Kristens Bakery on one side of the store and Prime Roast on the other you can have a large cafe area in the middle space where people can sit comfortably and enjoy great coffee, bakery goods, soups and sandwiches.
Follow Europe 3/1/2010 5:36:30 PM Does Keene have a brothel? Perhaps we're way overdue... They're legal in most parts of Europe and girls can work their way through college. OR with the gay community thriving so well locally, I suppose guys can now too.
TAM 3/1/2010 11:05:17 AM I like the idea of a food coop...or maybe an Asia or Ethnic market..an International market. But how about a popular clothing store like Old Navy?
CC 2/28/2010 7:37:46 AM Go carts. Indoor go carts. Gotta love it.
Jimmy 2/24/2010 10:55:25 PM How about new Promise HQ for Paul Hodes' Senate campaign. He can take some of his New York, California and Illinois campaign money and offer free lunches in exchange for votes, attached to all kinds of new promises - promise to get people jobs, promise to protect small business, promise to give everyone free health care, promise not to raise taxes, promise to demonize "big businesses", promise to lose weight, promise to help people with their mortgages, promise to fix everything he and Nancy Pelosi broke, promise to be whoever you want him to be!
dee 2/23/2010 3:15:44 PM That space is huge. I think we should make it into condos for the homeless, especially the guys from tent city.
dcbwks 2/20/2010 3:43:52 PM the old Jupiter Store...or a Woolworth's..Newberry's or Fishman's,Lantz Jewelry, Melody Shop,Quality Shop,Goodnow's,Endicott Johnson's---anything that was good that had gone out
DEP 2/20/2010 1:09:58 PM How about a meeting place for The Barack Housain Obama Fan Club? People could attend meetings to discuss all the positive things he has done for our country. The rent should be paid by the taxpayers, and the admission fee would only be $55.00 (cash with no receipt)
Meetings could start a 7:00, and end at 7:02.
Kay Delanoy 2/18/2010 8:25:42 PM I don't know how many people in the downtown area are without cars and have to take buses and taxis to get their groceries, but it seems to me a food store, maybe supplied by Hannaford's or Shaw's would be a boon, if the prices were kept the same as in the larger stores. Of course, a food coop downtown would be great!
Jessie 2/18/2010 11:19:37 AM I'd like to see something fun. I'm not sure what exactly, but I'm hoping it won't be another restuarant or boring retail storefront. Maybe an arcade? Or a gymboree - an indoor 'park' of sorts for children to go to play while it's so cold outside!
What do you think?
